Listen, the past several months (and really, the past year) have been incredibly difficult and if you are cancelling Canada Day this year, we can't blame you.
Like many of you we are horrified by the recent findings at the former Residential Schools. As a new mom, my heart is completely broken for these poor children and their families. As human beings, we are so angry. How THE ACTUAL F*UCK did this happen?
With Canada Day quickly approaching we’ve been left wondering if it’s wrong to celebrate it this year and honestly, we don’t know the answer to that. Canada Day has a different meaning for everybody.
For us, we are choosing to make this Canada Day about the incredible Canadian businesses we have worked alongside this past year. The Canadian businesses who have made it through one of the toughest years on record. We are choosing to honour and celebrate them and we hope that you will take a minute to celebrate these brands alongside us - whether you choose to celebrate Canada Day or not.
With so many people making an effort to #ShopLocal and #ShopSmall, we just wanted to reiterate how much we appreciate all of you. If you have also had a roller coaster of a year and are looking for a place to feel good about treating yourself, these are a few Canadian businesses you can feel GOOD about!
